Creating Announcements & Labels
There are four ways to create announcements and labels. Choose the method that suits your business:
1. Using a Front-End Module on Your Website
A generic front-end module can be added to your website.
For detailed instructions, refer to Section B.2: Shipping Manager Frontend in the bpack integration manual.
2. Using E-commerce Platform Plug-ins
Plug-ins are available for specific platforms. Choose based on when your integration began:
For integrations before 01/12/2024:
PrestaShop: Marketplace & FAQ
WooCommerce: Marketplace & FAQ
Magento 2: Marketplace & FAQ
For integrations after 01/12/2024:
3. Using Web Services
A deeper integration option that uses APIs for automation. Relevant sections in the bpack integration manual. include:
B.3: Shipping Manager API – Create Order
B.4.1: GeoLocator web services (bpack@bpost & bpack parcel lockers)
C.3: Shipping Manager API
D.2: Announcement API
E.3: Track & Trace APIs
4. Using EDI (LCI Files)
Generate and upload EDI files to manage announcements and labels.
For more information, refer to the following sections in the bpack integration manual:
C.4: Own Generated Labels
D: Parcels Announcement
E.4: Large Customer Interface (Outputs)
Printing Labels
Options 1, 2, and 3: Labels are automatically generated by bpost.
Option 4: You’ll need to generate your own labels according to bpost’s specifications. You can optionally add your own logo (refer to Section C.4 in the bpack integration manual).
Delivery Methods
Options 1 and 2: These enable all bpost national delivery methods (“@home,”bpack@bpost", and "bpack 24/7") and international deliveries immediately.
Level of IT Integration
Options 2 and 3: Require advanced IT integration to incorporate the logic into your own website’s interface. Processing time may vary depending on the complexity of your needs.
Option 1: Requires minimal integration effort and is simpler to set up.
Platform Independence
Options 1, 3, and 4: These methods are platform-independent, meaning they work regardless of the website platform you use.
