Data Matrix Integration on Domestic Labels
To ensure consistent scanning and minimize the risk of barcode printing issues, we request that the following specifications be followed when integrating Data Matrix codes into your self-generated domestic shipping labels.
Currently, Data Matrix codes are only usable for domestic labels.
A Data Matrix is a two-dimensional (2D) barcode, becoming a standard across industries for tracking and identification. It is significantly more reliable than traditional barcodes and is much more resistant to printing issues or folded paper. It also allows for reading speeds up to 10 times faster.
Its main purpose is to serve as a backup when the original barcode is damaged (e.g., creased, scratched) or cannot be read. This increases the scan success rate, leading to faster sorting, lower costs, and improved customer satisfaction.
Please check the technical specifications attached.
